Punjab Government have started installing solar street lights within Punjab, Pakistan. Governments intends to install solar lights on main roads in several cities of Punjab. Punjab government have signed a deal with Chinese companies to do this task. Work of installing solar lights have already been started from Burewala (بُورے والا‎) and other cities.

56 Rupees to Spend from a 100 Rs Recharge due to High Telecom Taxes and Extra Network Deductions

High taxesPakistan have a modern telecom infrastructure in the country with more than 123 million subscribers.

Previous governments have been imposing different taxes on telecom sector, so did new government. They increased with holding tax (WHT) 10% to 15% with the addition of 5% starting from July 1st 2013.

Telecom service providers also deduct 7% extra service charges in the name of services maintenance which will be increased by 2% making it 9% in July. Already announced by few networks, others will follow as usual.

Lets count total taxes and extra charges Pakistani telecom customers will have to pay.

  • 15% WHT tax (1st July)
  • 19.5% FED Tax
  • 9% networks deduction
  • Total: 43.5%

Edhi rejects kidney offers from donors after both of his kidneys stopped working

Abdul Sattar EidhiAbdul Sattar Edhi have rejected offer to implant kidneys after both of his kidneys failed. Many people are willing to offer kidneys for Edhi but he is declining.

Doctors say we are pursing him to accept the kidney offer from some donor but he does not agree. While he says I am thankful to God for what he have given me, won’t take someone else’s body part while later they will suffer. Everything is will of God.
